Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas

Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas are a Japanese electronicore band formed in Kobe in 2008. The current five-piece comprises clean vocalist So, keyboardist and harsh vocalist Minami, guitarist Taiki, drummer Tomonori, and bassist Tetsuya. Their music combines metalcore and post-hardcore with synthesizers, programmed dance beats, vocoder-heavy singing, and sudden shifts into rave and pop structures.

The band became a distinctive part of Japan’s loud-rock scene by treating electronic production as a core compositional element rather than decoration around a conventional metal band. Their fast, highly compressed arrangements and dual-vocal approach have remained recognisable through significant line-up changes, anime tie-ins, festival appearances, and a long domestic touring career.
