THE SPELLBOUND, comprised of BOOM BOOM SATELLITES’ Masayuki Nakano and THE NOVEMBERS’ Yusuke Kobayashi, have released their highly anticipated self-titled first album.
Formed in mid 2019 the duo released their debut single HAJIMARI (The beginning) in January 2021. They continued to release a further 5 singles with their latest MUSIC dropping earlier this month.
With over 40 years of combined music experience between the two, the band are producing work that weaves their accumulated talents. Delicate electronics and triumphant guitar melodies with deep soundscapes rich with intricate details, their music oozes BOOM BOOM SATELLITES nostalgia.
Released via Nakano Music, a label launched by Nakano, the album features 11 tracks including 5 all-new songs. Physical versions include a 2nd CD showcasing live recordings from their THE SECOND CHAPTER live show held in July 2021.
To commemorate the album’s release THE SPELLBOUND will perform a special launch show at Spotify O-EAST on February 26th.
The band have also released a teaser for their 6th music video Nowhere which is now available on their YouTube channel.
