NIGHTMARE New Album NOX:LUX

NIGHTMARE release ‘NOX:LUX’ their first album in nearly 7 years

Visual kei veterans NIGHTMARE have released their latest album NOX:LUX, the band’s first studio album in nearly 7 years.

The album showcases 14-tracks including their 2021 singles Sinners, cry for the moon, and ink.

Earlier this month the band released the music video for Re:Do, a track that doesn’t stray far from what we have come to expect from the band. Having a somewhat nostalgic quality, harking back to the sounds of 2007’s The World Ruler, the track features a chugging rhythm teamed with sparkling synths and guitar, an upbeat chorus, and Yomi’s iconic voice carrying across the track.

The group, formed in January 2000, have made a real impact in the VK world. In 2001 they also started comedic side project Sendai Kamotsu, releasing 5 albums between 2004 to 2014. Many of NIGTMARE’s singles have been used in anime, most notably The World/Alumina used in 2006’s internationally acclaimed Death Note. Going on hiatus in 2016 due to singer Yomi’s dysphonia, the band returned in 2020 with a special live event and new single.

NOX:LUX serves as NIGHTMARE’s 11th studio album. They embark on their Japan tour on March 21st at Zepp Osaka Bayside, ending on April 17th at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo.
