On April 17th indigo la End premiered their new video for the song Haru wa Tokete (Spring Melts). The single is a self-cover of frontman Enon Kawatani’s version made for the 2021 FM802 Spring ACCESS campaign.
With a new arrangement the song has been adapted to fit indigo la End’s signature sound, going from a more pop oriented track to a multi-layered indie rock tune. Thematically the song is perfect for the bittersweetness of spring, and the video matches the imagery of the lyrics with words and objects melting around the band.
The band formed in 2009 and released their 6th major label LP Secret de nuit in February 2021. Haru wa Tokete serves as the band’s first single of 2022.
Last year the band announced their first ever performance at the Nippon Budokan on November 1st 2022. Titled indigo, the concert will serve as a memorial for the band’s career.
indigo la End are due to wrap up their nationwide helpless tour at the Osaka Festival Hall on May 1st.
