Experi-metal supergroup Petit Brabancon have unveiled their brand-new video for Kawaki (渇き). Released on April 27th, it serves as the band’s first CD single release.

The track oozes with heavy sludgy guitar and bass, particularly reminiscent of early Korn, and features a soaring melodic chorus with Kyo’s powerful voice screeching atop. The MV was shot in January at CLUB CITTA Kanagawa during a premium live concert limited to just 29 attendees.

Originally released as part of the band’s 3 track digital single Koku/Kawaki in December 2021, the CD version features an additional track titled A Praying Man.

The group is formed of some of J-rock’s elite- vocalist Kyo (DIR EN GREY), guitarists Miya (MUCC) and antz (Tokyo Shoegazer, acid android), bassist Hirofumi Takamatsu (The Novembers), and yukihiro (L’arc-en-Ciel) on drums.

Petit Brabancon started activities in late 2021, but the idea has been in the works for a long time. In an interview with BARKS, Kyo stated that he first reached out to yukihiro 5 years ago wanting to collaborate. “If I want to do a new band, I want to do it with yukihiro first.”.

Kawaki is available on streaming services, and on CD with several merch bundles available.
