Tokyo’s Negative Sun is poised to unleash their debut demo, ‘Demo ’23’, worldwide on cassette through Indonesia label Gerpfast Records.

Initially released in July on Negative Sun’s Bandcamp page, ‘Demo ’23’ delivers a raw homemade blend of grindcore, powerviolence, and hardcore punk. Featuring two original tracks and an destructive cover of Lightning Bolt’s ‘Dracula Mountain’, this fiery debut serves as a scathing critique of Japan’s stringent police state, gritty political landscape, and societal discontent.

The demo was crafted by band members Takagi Pugnus Emura and Sei Mizusawa with unwavering passion and a steadfast DIY ethos. They were joined by drummer DMK from Tear Da Club Up and bassist Takaki from Belmadigula.

Pre-orders for ‘Demo ’23’ are currently active, with the release scheduled for early January 2024 on smoke-brown cassette.
