Japan’s neo-garage sensation, Chilli Beans., have unveiled their second full-length album, ‘Welcome to My Castle’.
The 13-track concept album includes ‘I like you’, the theme song for the TV drama ‘Time Traveling, Lovers’, and the trio’s hit song ‘Raise’, used as the ending theme for the latest season of the TV anime ‘ONE PIECE’.
‘Welcome to My Castle’ revolves around a metaphorical castle adorned with intrigue. The title track, ‘Welcome’, serves as the album’s mantra, inviting listeners to a place where only fun exists, encouraging them to embrace the moment and go with the flow.
Chilli Beans, featuring Moto (Vocals), Maika (Bass & Vocals), and Lily (Guitar & Vocals), has firmly established themselves at the forefront of the Asian music scene, blending catchy pop and garage rock with harmonious vocals. As a result, the band have secured numerous achievements, including the #1 spot on Spotify’s Viral Top 50 Chart in Japan with ‘lemonade’ and topping Billboard Japan’s ‘Heatseekers Songs’ twice with ‘rose feat. Vaundy’. Moreover, their impact has translated into notable performances at the Fuji Rock Festival and as the opening act for Two Door Cinema Club in Taipei.
Complementing the album release, AWA will host an online event, ‘Chilli Beans Lounge’, on December 16th, where band members will engage in real-time appearances, sharing insights and interacting with fans.
Additionally, Chilli Beans. are set to perform their first Budokan show on February 3rd, 2024 titled ‘Chilli Beans. “Welcome to My Castle” at Budokan’, a milestone marked by a sold-out venue.
