East Of Eden, the symphonic rock collective led by violinist and producer Ayasa, have officially launched their eagerly anticipated debut mini-album, ‘Forbidden Fruit -1st piece-‘.
Released globally on December 20th, the album features the band’s runaway hits ‘Evolve’ and ‘This Moment’, both accumulating over 2 million views on YouTube, along with three all-new tracks: ‘Rasenkairo’, ‘Mujuryokuhiko’, and ‘Hanabi’.
Ayasa, the mastermind behind East Of Eden, rose to prominence with her 2018 breakout song ‘The reason why’, topping instrumental charts in 46 countries on iTunes and garnering over 11 million views on YouTube. Ayasa is also part of the widely acclaimed BanG Dream! project, portraying Rui Yashio of the band Morfonica.
In addition to Ayasa, the band consists of powerful vocalist Akane Minato, renowned for her role in the PASSPO☆ sister group, predia; guitarist Yuki, a member of the instrumental unit D_Drive; bassist Wakazaemon, part of MAXIMUM THE HORMONE’s first franchise band COTTELEE; and drummer MIZUKI, a member of Lonesome_Blue and former drummer for Shinkuhorou.
Directed by Naoki Takeyama, the music video for the album’s lead track ‘Hanami’ blends live concert and documentary-style footage from their ‘World Premiere Special Showcase’ at Zepp DiverCity earlier this year.
The mini-album’s international physical release by London-based label JPU Records is set for February 2nd, 2024, and will feature an exclusive booklet with English lyric translations. In addition, a limited-edition bundle with behind-the-scenes footage and an exclusive shirt will also be released.
