HOME redefine Japan’s indie soundscapes with debut EP

Okinawa-based indie rock trio HOME have officially launched their debut EP, ‘HOME EP’. This new release encompasses a compilation of their previously released digital singles and introduces two fresh tracks.

The lead single, ‘Maybe I should die with you’, a synth-driven dream pop sensation, is complemented by a music video directed by Yohei Haga. The video, boasting a decadent and lyrical cinematic finish, incorporates AI-generated prose inspired by the song’s lyrics.

The ‘HOME EP’ offers a diverse musical palette, showcasing the representative indie rock track ‘Lucy’, the ballad-like new wave pop vibes of ‘Jōji’, alternative R&B in ‘Ainōta’, and the doo-wop-influenced ‘lululu’. Furthermore, the artwork for the EP designed by band member o-png continues the conceptual series showcased on their previous singles.

To mark the EP’s release, HOME are set to perform two record release shows on March 16th at CIRCUS TOKYO and March 17th at CIRCUS OSAKA. These live performances will mark the band’s inaugural appearances in both the Kansai and Osaka regions.

In addition to the record release events, HOME will host their self-planned gathering, ‘THE FLEUR’, on December 15th in their home prefecture of Okinawa. The event will feature support from emerging alt-rock talent, 鋭児 (AGE).
