Ado’s ‘Chocolat Cadabra’ chosen as Lotte’s 60th anniversary song

Ado is set to release her first single of 2024, ‘Chocolat Cadabra’, on January 31st. The song, composed and arranged by TAKU INOUE with lyrics by Camellia, has been selected as the official CM song for South Korean conglomerate Lotte’s 60th-anniversary celebration.

The CM project came to life through the collaboration of notable creators, including Suzume producer Genki Kawamura, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners character designer Yoh Yoshinari, and world renowned Studio TRIGGER overseeing animation production.

Ado, reflecting on the song, shared, “I sang, imagining the contrast between melted sweetness and bitterness. I think the song turned out to be enjoyable, like various flavors of chocolate”. She also congratulated Lotte on their 60th anniversary, and reminisced about her childhood.

I never thought I’d be able to collaborate with Lotte at this milestone, and it still feels like I’m dreaming. I’m very honored and happy.

Set in a late-night chocolate factory, three girls embark on a great adventure, traversing “science, magic, and reality.” It somewhat resembles the “Ghana Three Girls” or the world within the “red, black, and white package,” truly a work born out of 60 years of history.

The song will be available for digital release on January 31st, and a special 60-second version of the CM will air exclusively during TBS’s ‘CDTV Live! Live!’ on the night of January 22nd. Ado invites fans to enjoy the delightful world of ‘Chocolat Cadabra’ and celebrate Lotte Chocolate’s enduring legacy.
