Asunojokei announce 'Live Album: Island in Full' release and commemorative performances

Asunojokei unveil release date for debut live album

Post-black metal ensemble Asunojokei will release their first live album, ‘Live Album: Island in Full’, scheduled for March 20th. The album, capturing the energy of their 2023 summer Tokyo performance, features all the tracks from their globally regarded 2022 album, ‘Island’.

Formed in Tokyo in 2014, Asunojokei consistently push boundaries within the post-black metal genre, drawing inspiration from J-rock staples such as DIR EN GREY, MUCC, and COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS, as well as Western units like ARCH ENEMY, Deafheaven, and KISS. In 2023, the band gained further international attention by pairing up with BORIS on their European tour, leading them to play their first-ever UK headline shows.
