DIR EN GREY have released the music video for the revived classic ‘Yurameki’, a pivotal track from their forthcoming 33rd single, ‘19990120’. Scheduled for release on January 17th, this single commemorates the band’s 25th major debut anniversary.
Originally part of the major debut singles released by DIR EN GREY on January 20th, 1999, ‘Yurameki’ takes on a new life in this reconstructed version. The music video, available on DIR EN GREY’s official YouTube channel, amalgamates the past and present, showcasing the band performing against a backdrop of their old music videos, with Kyo donning his Uroboros era Adidas tracksuit.

The ‘19990120’ single will mark a quarter-century of DIR EN GREY’s musical journey by featuring resurrected versions of three debut singles: ‘Akuro no Oka,’ ‘ZAN-ZAN’, and ‘Yurameki’. Named after the 3-tracks’ original release date, the single encapsulates the band’s evolution over 25 years while retaining the emotional depth of the original compositions.
Also, DIR EN GREY take to the road for their ‘EUROPE TOUR24: FROM DEPRESSION TO __’ starting this March. The tour will see the band perform their iconic albums ‘Withering to death.’ and ‘UROBOROS’ across multiple European cities.
