Neo-traditional J-rock powerhouse, Wagakki Band, have announced their indefinite hiatus at the end of 2024, coinciding with the band’s 10th anniversary. The announcement, made via the band’s official website, states that each of the eight members will focus on individual pursuits to enrich their artistic endeavours.
Lead vocalist Yuko Suzuhana expressed gratitude to fans while acknowledging the surprising nature of the decision. The official statement included comments from all members, reflecting on the band’s journey and expressing anticipation for future projects.
“The unconventional band that started with big dreams has been able to continue running thanks to everyone’s support and love. We have had many experiences, and we are truly grateful. After the 10th-anniversary year, each member will work on activities without being confined to the framework of Wagakki Band, aiming for further growth through free thinking and individual pace. Some may be surprised by this announcement, but nothing would make me happier if we could receive your warm support for our 10th anniversary in 2024.”
