Nagoya metalcore outfit coldrain have dropped their latest single ‘VENGEANCE’, coinciding with their collaboration with the new anime series, ‘Ninja Kamui’. The song, released digitally on February 11th, packs a punch with its intense lyrics and powerful sound.
Written specifically for the anime ‘Ninja Kamui’, which premiered on Adult Swim’s Toonami block on February 10th, ‘VENGEANCE’ reflects the theme of the series—a tale of revenge and redemption. The anime follows the story of a former ninja seeking vengeance against a shadowy organization responsible for the tragic loss of his family.
The song’s raw energy and aggressive tone perfectly complement the themes of the anime. With lyrics like “rain rain come wash away the pain, vengeance is the only way”, capturing the emotional intensity of the protagonist’s journey.
