Visual Kei royalty KAMIJO reveals plans for his upcoming ‘Europa Tour 2024 “The Anthem”‘. Launching on June 8th at Paris’s Badaboum, the tour spans Budapest, Helsinki, Berlin, Cologne, Amsterdam, culminating at The Garage in London on June 16th.
Joining KAMIJO onstage will be fellow VK luminaries like HIRO from La’cryma Christi, YOHIO, IKUO from BULL ZEICHEN 88 and Rayflower, and USHI from VORCHAOS.
A pioneer in visual kei and symphonic metal, KAMIJO’s career, from LAREINE in 1994 to Versailles in 2007, brims with innovation. Renowned for blending intricate melodies with theatrical flair, he captivates audiences with his emotive vocals and magnetic stage presence.
Rooted in elaborate lore, KAMIJO’s character, portraying Louis XVII of France turned vampire, navigates identity and immortality, as intricately revealed in his storytelling.
In late 2023, KAMIJO celebrated his 10th anniversary as a solo artist with an appearance at NHK’s 74th annual ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen’ alongside X JAPAN frontman YOSHIKI and other Japanese rock legends.
His latest single, ‘Fragments of Beautiful Days’, debuted digitally on January 31st.
