URBANGARDE have released their latest music video for ‘METRAUMEREI’, the lead single from the self-proclaimed ‘trauma pop’ unit’s forthcoming album, ‘METROSPECTIVE’, scheduled for release on February 28th.
Directed by Yuma Hirai, the music video was filmed inside a retired vintage Tokyo Metro carriage, located in Chiba’s Poppo no Oka, perfectly echoing the album’s overarching metro theme and providing an eerie ghost train backdrop.
Featuring the band’s dedicated performers, the Yamanote Girls, the choreography for ‘METRAUMEREI’ was created by Rikako, known for her previous collaborations with the band as well as BPM15Q, XOXO EXTREME, and other notable projects.
‘METROSPECTIVE’ marks URBANGARDE’s first studio album in over two years, featuring a fusion of genres ranging from techno-pop to metal, reflecting the band’s exploration of contemporary Japanese culture in the Reiwa era.
