TORO, the flag bearers of rock’s revival, have unleashed their latest sonic offering, ‘iinogaretai’.

Crafted with a nostalgic nod to the British rock ethos reminiscent of bands such as Oasis and Blur, ‘iinogaretai’ encapsulates TORO’s commitment to preserving the essence of rock’s golden era. Frontman Umeda Shuya’s vocals, evocative yet simmering with an inner fire, intertwine seamlessly with the band’s tight ensemble, delivering a robust sound that lingers long after the final chord.

Reflecting on the single’s creation, TORO delved into their inspiration:

“This song was born from memories of listening to rock music alone in my room during my middle and high school years, unable to share it with classmates. Our goal was to inherit existing rock music as authentically and straightforwardly as possible. Back then, I believed I could adapt to anything more easily than I can now, but reality proved otherwise, presenting various challenges. While yearning to revisit those days, I realized that maintaining a low resolution wouldn’t suffice, prompting the creation of this song.

Furthermore, all our works share a common thread – they are entirely self-produced, from recording to mixing and mastering. Despite TORO’s grandiose musical style, we intentionally preserve a sense of intimacy akin to being crafted on a desktop. We hope listeners can perceive these nuances as they engage with our music.”
