Awich and Number_i join all-star lineup at Coachella’s ’88rising Futures’ showcase

Awich and Number_i join the esteemed lineup of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, taking the stage at the ’88rising Futures’ event later this month.

Known for its eclectic mix of genres and influential artists, Coachella Festival 2024 will witness the renowned Queen of Japanese hip-hop Awich, and chart-topping boy band Number_i, take the stage alongside other Asian talents as part of the 88rising showcase event on April 14^th.

This announcement follows 88rising’s initial lineup reveal, which included YOASOBI and ATARASHII GAKKO!, both celebrated for their viral hits and global influence on J-pop in recent years.

The inclusion of Awich and Number_i further underscores the significance of Japanese music on the international stage. Awich expressed her excitement and gratitude, while Number_i sees this opportunity as a dream come true.

These artists will join other emerging talents from Asia in the ’88rising Futures’ showcase, alongside Korean-American rapper Tiger JK, Chinese singer Xin Liu, and Korean rapper Yoonmirae, demonstrating the label’s dedication to promoting Asian talent globally.

’88rising Futures’ is scheduled for the Mojave stage at 5:20pm PT / 01:20am BST, with the event being globally livestreamed on the Coachella YouTube channel.

The festival spans two weekends this month, with the first weekend (April 12th – 14th) already sold out. Tickets for the second weekend (April 19th – 21st) are still available.
