Bass guitarist Tetsuya, renowned as the leader of the iconic rock unit L’Arc-en-Ciel, takes center stage once again, this time leading his L’Arc-en-Ciel cover band, Like-an-Angel, on their first-ever Japan tour, ‘CLUB CIRCUIT 2024 L’Arclassic’.
Kicking off on September 15th at BEAT STATION, Fukuoka, the tour will take them to Osaka and Nagoya before wrapping up at Spotify O-EAST, Tokyo, for Tetsuya’s birthday on October 3rd.
Former NEMOPHILA guitarist-turned-soloist SAKI has joined the original lineup, which comprises Tetsuya on bass, vocalist jekyll, Damian Hamada’s Creatures and ex-ViViD guitarist Reno, and Matenrou Opera drummer Hibiki. SAKI previously shared the stage with the band at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall last October.
Commenting on the upcoming tour following L’Arc-en-Ciel’s performance at Saitama Super Arena, SAKI expressed the challenge of stepping into the shoes of the band’s guitarist Ken, while also conveying her determination to rise to the occasion and make her mark alongside her fellow bandmates.
“Ken-san’s guitar is truly unparalleled, and it evokes a sense of ‘freedom’. His tone and playstyle are incredibly free and flexible, yet solid like the wind… It’s still a long way for someone like me, who’s still a novice, but I’ll do my best in my own way until the tour starts.
During the tour, we want to perform L’Arc’s songs with our own interpretations firmly in place! I’m looking forward to playing twin guitars with Reno-san for the first time. I must ensure not to hold back.”
