Osaka extreme black metal gabber collective Violent Magic Orchestra (VMO) will return to Europe this June for their ‘DEATH RAVE’ EU/UK tour. Following the release of their latest album ‘DEATH RAVE’, the tour, touted as the group’s biggest to date, is sure to be an overwhelming onslaught of black metal, techno, and visual art for audiences across the continent.
Kicking off on June 6th at Volksbühne in Berlin, Germany, the tour will make stops at festivals across Europe, including Sónar Festival in Barcelona and Vulvaverse in Rotterdam. The UK leg of the tour includes stops in Bristol, Manchester, and London, before culminating at Norberg Festival in Sweden on July 5th.
‘DEATH RAVE’, VMO’s second album, features a host of guest artists, including Full Of Hell’s Dylan Walker, Attila Csihar, and Infinity Division. The album is the definition of sensory overload, combining claustrophobic guitar riffs, chaotic synths, and mechanical beats to create a digital hardcore experience unlike any other.
VMO’s live sets are gaining notoriety globally for leaving audiences beaten, bruised, and ears ringing with their unhinged combo of relentless strobe effects, brain-melting digital displays, and corpse paint makeup.
Tickets for the ‘DEATH RAVE’ tour are now available, with additional dates expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
About Violent Magic Orchestra
Formed in 2016, Violent Magic Orchestra (VMO) emerged as an art project rather than a conventional band. Founded by members of Osaka’s experimental metal group Vampillia, VMO incorporate elements of electronic music into their sonic palette, resulting in a visceral and overwhelming auditory experience. In March, the group was one of 25 up-and-coming artists to be listed in Rolling Stone Japan’s 2024 ‘Future of Music’.
