Beheaded French royals AMAIDANTOUDAI unleash ‘Fumetsu no Hana’ music video

AMAIDANTOUDAI (Sweet Guillotine), an all female visual kei group, have revealed the MV for ‘Fumetsu no Hana’ (‘Immortal Flower’). This is the band’s second ever music video, but has yet to receive an official CD or digital release.

It seems somewhat rare to see an all female visual kei band, let alone one with a concept like AMAIDANTOUDAI. The band state “Those beheaded in the French Revolution came back to modern Japan and started a girl metal band…!”. Each of the members sport blood drips around their necks, and are decked out in French inspired lolita fashion.

The track itself is a gothic metal romp, featuring symphonic elements, guitar solo, and a hard and fast drum beat. Vocalist Minami Maria’s sweet and clean vocals contrast the heavier instrumental. Lyrics were handled by Minami, music by Yuria, and arrangement by Hiko. ‘Fumetsu no Hana’ also welcomes new member Hitomi, with the group now becoming a “full twin-guitar band”.

About AMAIDANTOUDAI

Formed in 2023, AMAIDANTOUDAI are fresh faces to the VK world, but their backstory means the girls are anything but fresh. Killed in the French Revolution, they have returned to life from what should have been their eternal slumber. The band started out as a 4-piece, with a second guitarist added to their roster in April 2024. Now a complete lineup, the band features Minami Maria on vocals, Yuria and Hitomi on guitar, Hiko on bass, and Louis on drums. The band’s first live concert on June 3rd 2023 at Kichijoji CRESCENDO sold out. Their first single ‘exe♡cute/Shittou Renaissance‘ (‘Surgical Renaissance’) is available now.
