Fukuro (梟) will be heading to the US this July for their first overseas tour. Hitting venues across the West Coast, the band will play LA, San Francisco, and San Diego. As well as this, the band will make their overseas debut ahead of the tour at Anime Expo 2024.
The group put together a crowdfunding page (now ended) for the US tour, with perks including spending the day with the band in LA with an English and Japanese speaking guide, and a merch set with ticket for the tour DVD viewing party in Tokyo.

Formed in 2021, Fukuro rose from the ashes of VK band DADAROMA’s hiatus, with lead singer Yoshiatsu helming the project. Releasing their debut album ‘Minority/Minority’ in October 2023, the band deviates from DADAROMA’s heavier style, instead fostering a smoother rock sound with elements of jazz, funk, and goth.
Their lineup, notably without a guitarist, features Yoshiatsu (vocals, ex-DADAROMA), Daisuke (piano, ex-DADAROMA support), Yutara (bass, MonstlloW), and Lotto (drums, AMAMITSUTSUKI). The band is named after frontman Yoshiatsu’s bar, BAR FUKURO, in Kabukicho, Tokyo. If you’re lucky, he may even be working when you visit!
Fukuro also made a special video message about their appearance at LA’s Anime Expo, North America’s largest Japanese pop culture convention. On Saturday July 6th they will make their overseas debut at the event on the community stage. This show is free for all Anime Expo badge holders for that day, but entry is limited. On top of this, the band will also hold an autograph session at the event with merch and cheki opportunities on offer.
