Kroi release ‘Unspoiled’: A year of breakthroughs culminates in new album

Kroi released their third studio album ‘Unspoiled’ on June 19th. The album marks the culmination of an intense year for the funky 5-piece that included a sold-out solo show at Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan and their North American live debut at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

The 14-track album features new songs and previously released singles. These include ‘UNDER NINJA’ opening theme ‘Hyper’, ‘Sesame’ for ‘BUCCHIGIRI?!’, and ‘Water Carrier’ for ‘SAND LAND: THE SERIES’. Notably, versions of the album come with a DVD or Blu-ray. This includes footage from their sold-out performance at Nippon Budokan in January 2024, where they first announced the album’s release.

Among their new offerings is ‘Green Flash’, accompanied by a music video released on June 20th. Additionally, tracks like ‘GAS’ and ‘Meimetsu’ were recorded at Westlake Recording Studios and Larrabee Sound Studios in Los Angeles.

In support of the album’s release, Kroi performed a free outdoor concert titled ‘Departure’ at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse on June 22nd. Moreover, Kroi live-streamed the concert for free via their official YouTube channel. The event included a pre-show program featuring past music videos and performances, offering a comprehensive look at Kroi’s journey leading up to the album’s release.
