Progressive heavy-rock group Sokoninaru have just released the final in a trio of digital singles released across 3 months. ‘Haikei, reimei wo shitte’, released digitally on June 12th.
Sokoninaru’s latest offering is a math-rock tinged heavy-rock track featuring melodic harmonies between vocalists Juko Suzuki (guitar), and Misaki Fujiwara (bass), and a brisk drum beat from Saito Shoto. The track was written, composed, and arranged by Juko. The lyrical content is one many of us can relate to, talking of high self-imposed expectations, ego, and the desire to be “normal”.
The band’s concept for their latest slew of singles was to release 3 digital singles across 3 consecutive months. Starting in April, they released ‘in birth’, followed up by ‘Endless me’ in May, and lastly in June releasing ‘Haikei, reimei wo shitte’. The concept has wrapped up ahead of their upcoming album, titled ‘Kaigan Shoumei’, releasing on July 24th. Plus, starting on August 9th, Sokoninaru will head out on their oneman Japan tour, also titled ‘Kaigan Shoumei’. The tour will hit 7 venues, starting in Nagoya, and finishing up in Daikanyama, Tokyo on September 29th.
