Who-ya Extended to perform at HYPER JAPAN 2024 in London

Who-ya Extended, the creators’ unit led by vocalist Who-ya, will perform at HYPER JAPAN 2024 in London.

Who-ya Extended made their major debut in November 2019 with ‘Q-vism’, the opening theme for the TV anime ‘Psycho-Pass 3’. Their subsequent releases, including ‘VIVID VICE’ from ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ and ‘Icy Ivy’ from ‘Night Head 2041’, have solidified their presence in both the anime and music scenes.

HYPER JAPAN, the UK’s largest J-culture event, will feature Who-ya Extended among its lineup of diverse stage performances. The event, which began in 2010, celebrates contemporary Japanese culture, including manga, anime, music, fashion, and more.

HYPER JAPAN 2024 will take place at Olympia Events (formerly known as Olympia London) on July 19th – 21st.

About Who-ya Extended

Who-ya Extended, a Japanese creators’ unit, centers around the vocalist Who-ya. The group made their major debut in November 2019 with the single ‘Q-vism’, which was the opening theme for the TV anime Psycho-Pass 3. Following this, they provided the theme song for the movie Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector, released in April 2020.

In January 2021, they released their first EP ‘VIVID VICE’, featuring the opening theme for the second cour of the TV anime ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’. Their third EP, released in June 2022, included ‘A Shout Of Triumph’, the ending theme for the anime ‘BUILD-DIVIDE -#FFFFFF- CODE WHITE’.

The group signed with SACRA MUSIC and take a flexible approach to music creation, adapting their lineup based on the type of song they aim to produce. This flexibility allows them to explore various musical styles and themes, ensuring each release remains fresh and innovative.

Recently, Who-ya Extended has performed internationally in the United States, Brazil, and Germany. In August 2023, they released ‘Gimme Your Tears’, featured in Netflix’s ‘Is She the Wolf?’. Their November 2023 single, ‘Prayer’, was the ending theme for the TV anime ‘The Kingdoms of Ruin’. In May 2024, they featured in the digital single ‘Sekai’ by composer Koichi Tsutaya’s project KERENMI, alongside Moto from Chilli Beans., which appeared in a Honda Vezel TV commercial.

Who-ya Extended continues to expand their presence both in Japan and internationally, performing at events worldwide and engaging with fans through live performances and digital content.
