AiNA THE END has released her new single, ‘Love Sick’, the theme song for the animated film ‘Mononoke the Movie: Karakasa’, which premiered in cinemas across Japan on July 26th.
‘Love Sick’, AiNA THE END’s first theme song contribution for an animated feature, is an intensely beautiful rock-pop hybrid. The track is enriched by a deeply emotional melody, with AiNA’s powerful vocals perfectly capturing the inner turmoil and desires expressed in the lyrics. TK from Ling tosite sigure produced the new single, having previously produced AiNA’s 2023 hit track ‘Red:birthmark’, the ending song for ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury’ season 2.
The music video, directed by Yuki Tsujimoto, represents themes of yin and yang, light and dark. It vividly captures the struggle of a heart breaking from a sweet sickness while seeking the light of love, even in the darkest nights. Dancers in matching costumes enhance the video’s world, while AiNA’s expressive power brings the narrative to life.
At a special premiere event for ‘Mononoke the Movie: Karakasa’, held on July 27th at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo, AiNA praised the voice actors, stating, “The story feels surreal, yet it unfolds as if it’s happening right before your eyes, thanks to the power of the voice actors. Their voices carry life, and I didn’t want to blink”.
