XG have released their highly anticipated new single ‘SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT’, along with its high-octane supernatural music video on YouTube. This track is the first pre-release from their upcoming, currently unnamed, second mini-album, set for release on November 8th.
‘SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT’ draws on 90s uptempo vibes, featuring a garage rhythm, an addictive refrain, and a minimalist approach that allows the diverse talents of XG’s seven members to shine.
The music video depicts the XG members hiding their alien abilities while living daily lives. The narrative takes a turn when their special powers are suddenly revealed, leading to chaos in the streets of Tokyo. ‘SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT’ became the group’s quickest release to reach 1 million views on YouTube, taking just 12 hours.
This release marks the beginning of the promotional cycle for their second mini-album, following last year’s chart topper ‘NEW DNA’. Their previous single, ‘WOKE UP’, topped the US YouTube trending chart and maintained the top spot on Billboard’s ‘Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan’ chart for nine consecutive weeks.
XG are currently on their first world tour, ‘The First HOWL’, performing across 30 countries, with additional dates recently announced in Japan for 2025. The group will begin the North American leg of their tour in October, with shows in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Texas, Atlanta, New York City, and Chicago. In November, they will head to Europe, starting in Manchester, followed by a major show at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, and then performing in Berlin, Paris, Düsseldorf, Brussels, and Amsterdam.
