Rock trio Hitsujibungaku have released the music video for ‘Burning’, the official ending theme for the highly anticipated second season of ‘Oshi no Ko’.
Premiering alongside the season’s debut on TOKYO MX and other networks, the song explores the emotional landscape of the series through their powerful cocktail of distorted alt-rock-infused, shoegaze-inspired sounds. The music video, directed by Kai Ishihara, takes fans on a visual interpretation of the song’s themes.
‘Burning’ marks another stride in Hitsujibungaku’s ascent within the anime music scene, following their previous triumphs such as ‘More Than Words’ from ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ season 2, their most widely acclaimed single with over 100 million streams across online platforms.

The new single’s raw intensity aims to mirror the tumultuous journey of ‘Oshi no Ko’s characters. Infused with gritty guitars and ethereal vocals, the song captures the essence of inner conflict and the relentless pursuit of fame. It delves deep into layers of emotion, from the characters’ unspoken desires to the societal pressures they confront within the competitive realm of idols. Hitsujibungaku’s distinctive blend of rock and shoegaze elements constructs a soundscape that echoes the narrative’s deep-seated themes—a poignant reflection on youth, ambition, and the quest for self-identity.
‘Burning’ is now available for streaming on various platforms, coinciding with Hitsujibungaku’s ongoing Asia tour and their recent sold-out concert in Singapore.
