Royz release ‘VENOM’ music video: A sinister serenade of lust and temptation

Osaka visual kei rockers Royz have just released the video for their latest single ‘VENOM’. The single is due for release on July 10th.

‘VENOM’ is a heavy rock and metal track with electronic elements and a Middle Eastern tinge. Vocalist Subaru shows off his vocal range here with growls, deep husky singing, and melodic crooning. Lyrically the song handles more mature themes surrounding love and lust, describing an immoral relationship.

Additionally, Royz announced that ‘VENOM’ is available to watch with subtitles in various languages; English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.

Releasing on CD on July 10th, ‘VENOM’ will be available in three versions, each including the B-side ‘SOUTHERN X’ (read as SOUTHERN CROSS):

  • Type A: Includes a DVD featuring the music video, a making-of feature, and two trading cards.
  • Type B: Includes a DVD with the music video shot from multiple angles, as well as the inclusions of Type A.
  • Type C: Contains 8 tracks in total—’VENOM’, ‘SOUTHERN X’, 2 bonus tracks, and 4 instrumentals—plus two trading cards.

Each version also comes with a special application ticket (valid only in Japan).

Royz are also about to head out on their SUMMER ONEMAN TOUR, with 14 stops. The tour will start on July 13th at Tokyo’s Akabane ReNY alpha, before wrapping up at Zepp DiverCity on August 29th. The band will also hold their 15th anniversary celebration show titled ’15th FIRST LIVE’ on September 28th in their home city of Osaka at Namba Hatch.
