SHADOWS reveal details of new album ‘DIG’ alongside 2nd pre-release single ‘SUPERCAR’

Post-hardcore five-piece SHADOWS are set to release their new album ‘DIG’ on September 20th. This will be the band’s first album in six years, and first released under new label CAFFEINE BOMB ORGANICS.

On July 24th, SHADOWS shared a teaser video for their second pre-release single ‘SUPERCAR’ on social media. The single was officially released on July 26th. ‘SUPERCAR’ is a fun and heavy mosh-romp featuring SHADOWS’ signature hard-hitting choruses and catchy melodies. This release follows their earlier single ‘CLIMB’, their first under the new label, launched in conjunction with their performance at SATANIC CARNIVAL ’24.

‘DIG’ will feature ten songs, including their latest singles and seven new tracks, along with their 2022 single ‘A Ghost Of Walls.’ The album’s artwork, created by Robert Fisher, the mastermind behind the iconic cover for Nirvana’s 1991 album ‘Nevermind’, has also been revealed.

SHADOWS, originally formed by members of the influential unit FACT, have been a pivotal part of Japan’s underground heavy scene since their formation in 2016. The current lineup was solidified earlier this year with Hayato (bass/vocals) and Ryo (drums/vocals) becoming permanent members.

On September 26th, SHADOWS will kick off their 26-date 2024-2025 ‘Dig’ tour, starting in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture. Guest acts for the first nine shows include The BONEZ, YAMAARASHI, Crystal Lake, ENTH, and GOOD4NOTHING. The tour will culminate in February 2025 with their biggest shows at BIGCAT in Osaka, THE BOTTOM LINE in Nagoya, and LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo.
