Ado is set to release her first CD single on October 24th, which coincides with her 22nd birthday. The release will be a double A-side single, featuring the highly anticipated tracks ‘Sakura Biyori & Time Machine’ with Hatsune Miku, and ‘Can’t Say Yet (Tentative title)’.
‘Sakura Biyori & Time Machine’ written by Mafumafu, was first performed during Ado’s groundbreaking solo concert, ‘Ado SPECIAL LIVE 2024 ‘Heart”, held at the Japan National Stadium in April. Hatsune Miku, the iconic virtual idol from the VOCALOID voice synthesizer software, played a big part in inspiring Ado’s one of a kind vocal style which has scored her global recognition.
“Being able to perform alongside Miku feels like a dream come true”, Ado shared in a comment about the release. “Every time I listen to this single, I’m filled with emotion. This song holds a special place in my heart”.
The second track, ‘Can’t Say Yet’, remains a mystery, with the title still provisional and details about the song unrevealed. So far, Ado has only hinted that it will offer something new for her listeners.
“As for ‘Can’t Say Yet’, the title itself is not yet finalised, and I can’t reveal much about the song at this time. However, I believe it will offer a fresh experience for my listeners. This song is also very important to me, and I’m eagerly looking forward to its release. I hope you’ll enjoy imagining what it might be like and look forward to it with anticipation.”
The single will be available in several editions, including a limited-edition version featuring an acrylic stand and cover art by Ado’s image director, ORIHARA. Pre-orders are now open via CDJapan.
