Visual kei veterans D=OUT (read as ‘Doubt’) frontman KOUKI will be performing at the 11th edition of London’s Visual Kei Night on September 14th.
As a surprise addition to the event, KOUKI will perform a special one-time set at Visual Kei Night. Not only will it be his first time performing at the event, but also his first time performing in the UK. Tickets are extremely limited for this event due to the highly intimate nature of the venue The Ladybird Bar, and is not one to be missed. This edition of Visual Kei Night also serves as the event’s end of summer matsuri (festival), and promises it will be “Summery, Japanesey, festival-ish, and maybe even a hint of summer night horror… “. Tickets are available now via eventbrite.
This is a very short notice, but I'm going to London. Please come and enjoy some Japanese visual kei and a Japanese festival. Will you come? https://t.co/4qqsmcwUYN

Plus, D=OUT recently released their long awaited 16th album ‘gokudou’, which is available now via CDJapan. Their latest single ‘tenyawanya’ (‘chaos’) released on August 13th along with a music video. The track has a wa-metal (traditional Japanese style metal) vibe, and the MV reflects that with the band performing in front of a temple, with geisha, and kitsune mask-wearing dancers. KOUKI said of the single “tenyawanya will pierce your ears and your heart.”.
Notably, KOUKI is also an enka singer, under the stage name 花見桜こうき (Hanamizakura Kouki), and has just released a collaboration single with Japanese professional wrestler Unagi Sayaka. Best known for wrestling under the promotions Tokyo Joshi Pro, All-Japan Pro Wrestling, DDT, and Stardom, Unagi Sayaka is currently a freelance wrestler. The track, titled ‘Gyan Ondo’, was composed by KOUKI, while the lyrics were handled by Sayaka. The video features an all-star cast including heavyweight wrestler Minoru Suzuki, referee Barb Sasaki, and female wrestler Misa Kagura. On X, KOUKI said “The incredibly uplifting and addictive song will surely make your days more exciting.”. He also added “When I hear it, I don’t know why, but it’s addictive, it cheers me up, and I feel amazing after the song ends.”. KOUKI also noted that he poured his heart into making the song, and will cherish it forever.
