LiSA has premiered the music video for her latest track, ‘MAKE A MiRACLE’, featured on her 22nd single ‘BLACK BOX’, released on August 21st.
The video draws inspiration from retro video games, movies, and fashion spanning the ’80s to early 2000s, blending nostalgic aesthetics with a futuristic twist. Notable references include the original PlayStation and a DMC DeLorean, evoking a sense of timeless cool.
The song itself is an energetic rock track composed and arranged by long-time collaborator PABLO a.k.a. WTF!?, brimming with mid-2000s influences reminiscent of artists like Tommy heavenly6, Nana Kitade, and Ai Otsuka. The lyrics carry a message of self-determination, suggesting that the future is something we create ourselves—small efforts can indeed lead to big miracles.
‘MAKE A MiRACLE’ is part of a busy year for LiSA, who kicked off 2024 with the release of ‘HELLO WORLD’, followed by her 21st single, ‘Shouted Serenade’, in May. Her single ‘BLACK BOX’ also served as the opening theme for the anime NieR:Automata Ver1.1a Season 2.

LiSA came up with the idea for this song, thinking it would be great to have something like this in our live shows. We kept the arrangement simple to convey the raw energy of the live performances. It’s a classic rock approach, which feels especially fitting in 2024, and it’s a legacy I want to keep passing down.
