SiM frontman MAH joins Fame on Fire for new single ‘Chains (The Tower)’

Florida rock outfit Fame on Fire have dropped the music video for their latest single, ‘Chains (The Tower)’, featuring SiM frontman MAH.

The track, taken from Fame on Fire’s newly released album ‘The Death Card’, was accompanied by a Saw-style video, featuring blood, decapitated limbs, and a gnarly syringe trap. The release marks the culmination of a multi-layered collaboration between the two bands, which began back in April.

Discussing the concept behind the single, Fame on Fire explained:

“‘Chains’ is about being your own worst enemy and going to war every day with yourself to try and break through your mental hurdles. You control your life’s outcome, but it is easier said than done, and sometimes you end up in terrible situations and mindsets. We really wanted to portray this in our video.”

In a post celebrating the album’s release on Instagram, Bryan Kuznitz expressed his gratitude for MAH’s contribution, calling him “one of the most kind people I have met in this industry” and highlighting Chains as “probably my favorite song on the album”.

The two bands first teamed up during SiM’s North American tour earlier this year, where Fame on Fire became close with MAH while playing as their support act. While working on the new single in Japan, a casual conversation about whether Fame on Fire had ever played in the country quickly led to MAH inviting them to perform at the annual two-day DEAD POP FESTiVAL hosted by SiM. This unexpected opportunity resulted in their live debut in Japan, billed alongside artists such as HYDE, LiSA, Paledusk, and THE ORAL CIGARETTES.

Additionally, MAH made a surprise appearance during Fame on Fire’s set at DEAD POP FESTiVAL for a performance of the new single.
