Hikaru Utada’s SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024 concert film hits Prime Video

Hikaru Utada’s SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024 concert film is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, accessible in 190 countries and regions. The film brings one of the most talked-about tours of the year to a global audience, capturing the magic of Utada’s milestone 25th-anniversary celebration.

The tour, which kicked off in Fukuoka in July and wrapped up with two sold-out nights at Yokohama’s K-Arena in September, was one of Utada’s most ambitious to date. Spanning 18 shows across Japan and two landmark performances in Taipei and Hong Kong, the run drew over 258,000 attendees. The setlist showcased highlights from across Hikaru Utada’s 25-year career, blending iconic tracks with fan-favorite deep cuts, making the tour a standout celebration of their musical legacy.

In addition to the SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024, fans worldwide can also now stream Laughter in the Dark Tour 2018 and Live Sessions from Air Studios (2022), both available exclusively on Prime Video.

Fans in Japan can also revisit Utada’s live legacy through HIKARU UTADA LIVE CHRONICLES in cinema, a nationwide event showcasing performances from Luv Live (1999), WILD LIFE (2010), and the SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024. Due to overwhelming demand, screenings at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo and Midland Square Cinema in Nagoya have been extended. Attendees can also get an up-close look at the tour’s costumes, designed by Yoshiyuki Miyamae—lead designer for Issey Miyake’s A-POC Able line—using Spiber Inc.’s innovative Brewed Protein™ fiber technology.

Additionally, a special listening party on live streaming platform Stationhead will revisit Utada’s live setlists, starting with BOHEMIAN SUMMER 2000 on December 4th at 9pm JST, ahead of the Aichi screenings.

For collectors, a Blu-ray release drops December 11th, featuring both limited and standard editions. The limited package is stacked with extras, including documentary footage, a complete collection of Utada’s 40 music videos, and a two-disc live audio CD. The Blu-ray is now available for preorder on CDJapan.
