Knosis join Nik Nocturnal for metal cover of Creepy Nuts’ ‘Otonoke’

Ryo Kinoshita and Yosh Morita of Knosis have teamed up with YouTuber, streamer, and metal maven Nik Nocturnal for a mad heavy cover of Creepy Nuts‘ recent smash hit ‘Otonoke’.

Ryo (Knosis, ex-Crystal Lake) has previously collaborated with Nik on his “How To Metal” series, taking part in creating an Architects-like track aptly titled ‘Architect’. Now they’re back, this time with Ryo’s fellow collaborator Yosh (Survive Said the Prophet), for a cover of one of the year’s biggest tracks.

Creepy Nuts’ ‘Otonoke’ is a certified banger as the opener for this season’s hype anime DAN DA DAN. Ryo, Yosh, and Nik flip the script, transforming the already chaotic track into a metal jam that’s equal parts heavy and peppy. Ryo brings guttural growls, while Yosh’s clean vocals add shine, making this cover a wild reimagining of the original.

Additionally, Nik Nocturnal’s annual online award show will be held on his Twitch channel on December 6th. Amongst the nominees are Knosis with ‘FUHAI’ for “Breakdown of the Year”, and DEXCORE ‘PARAMNESIA’ for the coveted “Best BLEGH”. Plus BABYMETAL x Electric Callboy are nominated in two categories; “Music Video of the Year” and “Collab Song of the Year” with ‘RATATATA’. Cast your vote here before midnight EST on December 2nd.
