DIR EN GREY add Anaheim headline show following Sick New World cancellation

DIR EN GREY have announced an additional US date for their 2025 tour, scheduled for April 11th at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California. The announcement follows the sudden cancellation of Sick New World festival, which was set to take place on April 12th and included DIR EN GREY in its star-studded line-up.

This new show will form part of the band’s TOUR25 WHO IS THIS HELL FOR? [mode of VULGAR & Withering to death.], marking their first US performances in over five years. It complements their already sold-out dates at The Belasco in Los Angeles on April 8th and 9th. DIR EN GREY’s longstanding [mode of] series revisits key chapters in their career, combining material from specific albums with their modern repertoire. The Anaheim set will see DIR EN GREY spotlight ‘VULGAR’, their 2003 release often hailed as a turning point in the band’s evolution.

The addition of the Anaheim show comes in the wake of Sick New World festival’s abrupt cancellation. The festival, known for its nu-metal and alternative rock focus, was to feature high-profile acts such as Metallica, Linkin Park, and Evanescence, alongside DIR EN GREY.

Tickets for the Anaheim show will be available through presale starting on December 18th at 10 AM PST, ending December 19th at 10 PM PST. General sales will begin on December 20th at 10 AM PST. Fans can secure presale access using the code “DIR25US”.

Moreover, as part of the same tour, the band will return to Asia in May for performances in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
