Tokyo’s HANABIE. and Australia’s Kim Dracula are teaming up for a 24-date co-headline North American tour in 2025, with support from Crystal Lake and Kaonashi.
Kicking off on March 5th in Montreal, Canada, the tour spans cities like Chicago, Boston, Dallas, and Anaheim before wrapping up on April 12th in Sacramento, California. The lineup features Kaonashi as support for all dates, while Japan’s metalcore powerhouses Crystal Lake will join select shows.
Known for their infectious blend of heavy metal and pop culture-inspired playfulness, HANABIE. have carved out a unique niche with tracks like ‘Pardon Me, I Have to Go Now’ and ‘Reiwa Dating Apps Generation’. Their latest EP, ‘Bucchigiri Tokyo’, showcases the band’s knack for turning the energy of Tokyo’s youth culture into viral anthems.
Fresh off a milestone-filled 2024—featuring festival sets at Download and Rock am Ring, two international tours, and a historic main stage debut at Lollapalooza Chicago—HANABIE. are ready to embrace an even larger global audience in 2025.
Formed in 2002, Crystal Lake have become a leading force in Japan’s heavy music scene with their mix of metalcore, deathcore, and progressive metal. Now fronted by vocalist John Robert Centorrino (formerly of The Last Ten Seconds of Life), the lineup features founding guitarist YD alongside Hisatsugu Taji (ex-HER NAME IN BLOOD), Mitsuru, and Gaku Taura. Despite lineup changes, the band remains a global favourite for hardcore fans.
While Kim Dracula’s eclectic mix of metal, jazz, and trap might differ from HANABIE.’s pop-metal hybrid, the combination promises an unforgettable showcase of creative extremes. The Australian artist has made waves with their six-octave range and boundary-pushing debut album, ‘A Gradual Decline In Morale’. Their theatrical flair and HANABIE.’s playful ferocity collide in a cultural and stylistic clash that promises to be anything but ordinary.
