Yuki Chiba drops debut album ‘STAR’ and announces Nippon Budokan concert

Yuki Chiba releases his first album under his real name, titled ‘STAR’. Released on December 12th, the album follows his return to the music scene in early 2024. Accompanying the release is a music video for the track ‘IMAGA’, now streaming on YouTube.

This 13-track project, produced entirely by Koshy, marks Chiba’s return after stepping away from the spotlight in 2021. Known for his work on Chiba’s earlier single ‘Team Tomodachi’ and the certified gold Megan Thee Stallion collaboration ‘Mamushi’, Koshy shapes a refined sound for ‘STAR’. The album also features contributions from GRAMMY-winning mix engineer Leslie Brathwaite (Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Björk) and Colin Leonard of SING Mastering, adding to its polished finish.

All 13 tracks on ‘STAR’ are fresh material, with none of the three singles Chiba released in 2024 making the cut; February’s viral hit ‘Team Tomodachi’, the YouTube and 7-inch vinyl exclusive enka-inspired ‘Jameson Ginger’, and November’s ‘Dareda?’.

In addition to the album drop, Chiba has announced his first solo concert, Yuki Chiba – STAR LIVE, set for July 3rd, 2025, at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. Tickets are on sale now through his fan club, Team Chiba, which also offers exclusive merch—including caps, hoodies, and necklaces—available for pre-order until December 19th.
