Ado announces best-of album ‘Ado’s Best Adobum’ for 5th anniversary

Ado, one of Japan’s most celebrated vocalists of recent years, is releasing her first best-of album, ‘Ado’s Best Adobum’. This release marks the 5th anniversary of her major debut. The double-disc collection, which spans 40 tracks, is scheduled to be released on April 9th.

The album compiles fan-favourite hits such as her viral debut single ‘Usseewa’, alongside popular tracks like ‘Gira Gira’, ‘Odo’, ‘New Genesis’, and ‘Show’. Fans can also look forward to the inclusion of her previously unreleased 2023 SoftBank collaboration track ‘Hello Signals’, as well as two brand-new songs.

What’s in the box?

In addition to the standard version, ‘Ado’s Best Adobum’ will be available in several limited editions:

• Deluxe Box Editions (Blu-ray or DVD): Includes live footage from her April 2022 solo concert at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo, custom-designed karuta card set, and acrylic charm.
• Limited “Kigeki” Editions (Blu-ray or DVD): Includes the concert footage.
• Limited Shaka-Shaka Acrylic Charm Edition: Comes with an exclusive acrylic charm.

Each edition will also feature unique cover artwork created by ORIHARA, Ado’s image director, and will include one of several random trading cards as a bonus. The first pressings of the album will also come with a serial number allowing fans to enter a lottery for a chance to purchase 1 of the 1000 allotted premium seats for her Ado World Tour 2025 ‘Hibana’ performances at Saitama Super Arena on April 26th and 27th.

Reflecting on her career, Ado shared:

“I am delighted to announce the release of my best album. It’s hard to believe that five years have passed since my major debut—it feels deeply emotional. What started as just one or two songs has grown into a collection of countless tracks that are truly dear to me. I hope many people will take this opportunity to revisit and enjoy these songs, which have been so cherished and loved over the years.”

She added:

“Even now, it feels unreal to celebrate my 5th major debut anniversary. To think that I’ve been able to continue my activities at this level for five years—it’s something I am profoundly grateful for. I can’t thank the people around me enough for their support. To everyone who has cheered me on, I feel incredibly fortunate to have my voice and the name ‘Ado’ loved as they are today. My music and activities will keep evolving, and I hope to continue walking together with all of you toward the future I believe in!”

In December, Ado joined US pop rock superstars Imagine Dragons for the final remix in their ‘Take Me to the Beach’ series. Since its release, the track has become the most listened in the series, with a whopping 17 million listens on Spotify and almost 10 million on YouTube.
