Ado
Ado first rose to prominence through the utaite scene, gaining attention for her powerful voice and mysterious persona. Her breakout single ‘Usseewa’ went viral in 2020, quickly establishing her as a key figure in J-pop. Her work on One Piece Film: RED, particularly the global hit ‘New Genesis’, solidified her status as one of Japan’s most distinctive and sought-after artists. Known for keeping the spotlight firmly on her voice, Ado performs in silhouette or shadow, adding to her mystique. With a second world tour and her first best-of albu set for 2025, her international ascent shows no signs of slowing down.

YOASOBI
YOASOBI, the duo of producer Ayase and vocalist Ikura, have built their reputation on transforming novels into chart-topping songs. Since forming in 2019, their debut single ‘Yoru ni Kakeru’ became Japan’s first track to surpass 1.1 billion cumulative streams. In April 2023, their single ‘Idol’ reached the top of major global charts, including Billboard’s Global Excl. US and Apple Music’s Top 100: Global, setting unprecedented records for J-pop. With appearances at Coachella and sold-out shows across the US, they’ve solidified their place as one of Japan’s most exciting acts on the global stage.

Signed to 88rising in 2021, their viral hit ‘Otonablue’ amassed over 3.3 billion TikTok views. They made their mark on the international stage at Coachella in 2024, headlining the Gobi Stage, and completed a world tour across 26 cities. matsuri ’25 aims to position Japanese music as a global standard, with plans for similar international events in the future. CEIPA intend the showcase to serve as a platform to elevate Japanese artists to wider global recognition. All three featured acts performed sold-out shows across North America last year, reflecting the growing demand for J-pop on western stages.
The event will also feature a press conference hosted by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), bringing together music industry professionals and media representatives from both Japan and the United States.
