Creepy Nuts have released their long-awaited fourth album, ‘LEGION’, digitally today (February 5th), their first full-length release since 2022.
Featuring 15 tracks, ‘LEGION’ brings together some of the duo’s biggest singles from the past year, including ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’, the viral opening theme for Mashle Season 2, and ‘Otonoke’, the opening theme for one of 2024’s biggest anime releases, DAN DA DAN. The album also features ‘Nidone’, the theme song for the drama Extremely Inappropriate!, and ‘doppelgänger’, the theme for the live-action adaptation of Kengo Hanazawa’s manga Under Ninja.
Beyond these familiar tracks, ‘LEGION’ introduces several new songs, including ‘Chūgaku 22-nensei’ (22nd Year of Junior School), a sequel to their 2018 track ‘Chūgaku 12-nensei’, while ‘Biliken’ incorporates a Jersey Drill beat into their sound. The title track, ‘LEGION’, closes the album with intense, self-referential lyricism that encapsulates R-Shitei’s evolving perspective as both a global artist and a father.
Coinciding with the album’s release, a visualiser for ‘doppelgänger’, directed by Hiroya Brian Nakano, has premiered on their YouTube channel, offering a hallucinatory interpretation of the track.
The album will also receive a physical CD release on March 12th. Alongside the standard edition, a Radio Edition will include an additional CD featuring recorded talk sessions, plus a QR code for digital access. The Live Blu-ray Edition will feature concert footage from Creepy Nuts’ ONE MAN TOUR 2024 at Tokyo’s Yoyogi National Gymnasium.
Sold-Out Tokyo Dome Show & Nationwide Tour
Having firmly established themselves as Japan’s breakout duo of 2024, Creepy Nuts will hit another career milestone with a sold-out show at Tokyo Dome on February 11th.
To support ‘LEGION’, they’ll hit the road for a nationwide tour starting in May, with performances across Japan, including two nights at K-Arena Yokohama and a grand finale at Osaka-Jo Hall in September.
