Metalcore unit DEXCORE have dropped the video for ‘Place where we belong’. This comes ahead of their 2nd full album, ‘WE WERE HERE’, due for release on April 23rd.
‘Place where we belong’ is a heavy and emotional track with vocalist Kagami’s lyrics piercing through the music. The song feels cathartic, with the repeated reminders of the daily pain of life, offset by the chorus “It’s okay to have a place to cry, Endless pain I’ve had enough, We are not alone, It’s okay to cover your face tonight, We are singing right here right now”.
The video was shot at Shibuya Cyclone on December 23rd 2024, and is packed with intense live footage and quiet behind the scenes moments.
‘WE WERE HERE’, DEXCORE’s first full album in over three years, arrives as a 16-track release on April 23rd. Alongside new material, including their November 2024 single ‘PARAMNESIA’, the album includes reworked versions of ‘THE LIGHT’, ‘Savior’, and ‘Still Alive’. The physical edition comes as a two-disc set, featuring a DVD with the band’s full performance from DEXFEST 2024 at Nagoya Diamond Hall. The album will also be available digitally across major streaming platforms.

Moreover, the band recently announced the opening of their fan club titled ‘ANOTHER CORE’. Membership is also available for overseas fans. For 600 yen per month, fans will have access to exclusive blogs from the band members, videos, gallery, birthday message, and early access to tickets.
The band have also announced the dates for their Japan one man tour titled WE WERE HERE. Starting on May 10th in Kanazawa, the band will perform 15 shows across the country, finishing up at Shibuya WWW X on August 2nd. This is in addition to the band’s annual event DEXFEST taking place on March 29th at Nagoya Diamond Hall. DEXCORE will be joined by Paledusk, DEVILOOF, Earthists., and HIKAGE, with more to be announced.
