Japanese acts Otoboke Beaver and Fujii Kaze have been confirmed for Lollapalooza 2025, joining a lineup that includes Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Olivia Rodrigo, and TWICE. The four-day festival, set for July 31st to August 3rd in Chicago’s Grant Park, will feature over 170 artists across eight stages.
Otoboke Beaver, the Kyoto-based punk quartet, have built a reputation for their chaotic, high-intensity live shows, appearing on major festival stages worldwide, including Coachella, SXSW, Primavera Sound, Glastonbury, and Roskilde Festival. Their Roskilde set made such an impact that Dave Grohl later dedicated a song to them during Foo Fighters’ set, calling them “the coolest f**king band I’ve ever seen”. Earlier this year, they opened for Green Day on their Japan tour, which included two nights at the 20,000-capacity K-Arena Yokohama. Meanwhile, their Nagoya set went viral after guitarist Yoyoyoshie took on a rogue microphone—and won in spectacular fashion, a moment that even caught the attention of Slash’s official X account.
Fujii Kaze, meanwhile, continues his rise as one of Japan’s most distinctive singer-songwriters. Blending R&B, jazz, and pop, his music has gained a global audience, propelled by viral hits like ‘Shinunoga E-Wa’. This summer, he’ll embark on his first-ever European tour, with stops at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Paris’ L’Olympia, before heading to Chicago for Lollapalooza.

Tickets for Lollapalooza 2025 go on presale March 20th, with general sales following soon after. Check the Lollapalooza official website for more info.
