Takeru (SuG) and Shou (Verde/, Alice Nine) announce Europe tour ‘youthpit’

Visual kei frontmen Takeru (ex-SuG) and Shou (Verde/, Alice Nine) will team up this September for a European tour titled youthpit.

The tour will start on September 7th in London, hitting 7 countries across Europe. While venues are yet to be confirmed, organisers have announced that the final date will feature a solo performance from Takeru.

Both vocalists have been active in their solo work in recent years. Takeru, first going solo during SuG’s hiatus, has released a string of collaborative singles over the past year with artists including 4s4ki, Karan Kanchan, Hoshikuma Minami, and Saint After Six. Shou launched his solo project Verde/ in 2023, releasing debut album ‘V/’ in November 2024.

In a post on X, Shou commented:

“After 18 years of joint gigs with SuG in Cologne, we are finally going back to you in Europe. Takeru and I will also be showing you the hottest part of our careers. We look forward to meeting you all!”

While Takeru stated:

I’ve seen people say they feel lonely, but having our work reach across the sea brings me so much happiness. Since the other members aren’t with me for solo stuff, I really feel the fans’ support directly. It feels like we’re creating this together. Thank you for giving me a place to belong. I want to bring all the fans around the world to Japan so everyone can meet. And also, isn’t the visual too good?

Additionally, Takeru will hold his first South American tour this summer. Starting on August 8th, he will perform across Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru, before wrapping up in Mexico City on August 23rd.

Shou as Verde/ will also be performing at MASKED visual kei festival in Shibuya this May, with a support band featuring members of Matenrou Opera.
