Ado ‘Shinzou’ concert film heads to North American cinemas this month

Ado hits the big screen in the US later this month with Ado SPECIAL LIVE ‘Shinzou’ in Cinema, a concert film capturing her history-making 2024 ‘Shinzou’ (‘Heart’) performance.

Announced by GAGA Corporation, Ado SPECIAL LIVE ‘Shinzou’ in Cinema will screen in over 100 theatres across the US on May 28th and 31st, following its initial rollout in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand from May 9th.

Filmed over two nights at Japan National Stadium—where Ado became the first female solo act to headline the venue—the concert drew 140,000 attendees and featured a 26-song setlist spanning early viral hits, anime collaborations, and recent releases. Highlights include her first on-stage duet with Vocaloid icon Hatsune Miku and a live rendition of ‘DIGNITY’ featuring guitarist Tak Matsumoto of B’z.

The film has been newly mixed for 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos by veteran engineer Kenichi Koga, aiming to replicate the stadium’s scale within a cinema setting. Subtitles will not be displayed, in order to preserve the uninterrupted nature of the original performance.

The timing coincides with Ado’s ongoing Hibana world tour, which began with two sold-out nights at the 37,000-capacity Saitama Super Arena on April 26th and 27th, and already includes over 15 sold-out dates in cities such as Taipei, Amsterdam, Paris, Los Angeles, and Toronto.

The 140-minute concert will screen with its original staging intact, featuring tracks including ‘Odo’, ‘New Genesis’, ‘Aishite Aishite Aishite’, and ‘Show’. A clip of the latter is currently streaming on Ado’s official YouTube channel.
