Metalcore visual kei band DEXCORE have just released their anticipated 2nd album ‘WE WERE HERE’, along with the video for ‘Trace’. Both dropped yesterday, May 7th.
The band’s 2nd full length offering, ‘WE WERE HERE’, features 17 tracks including previous singles ‘THE LIGHT’ (2022), ‘Savior’ (2023), and 2024 singles ‘SKINDEEP’, ‘Still Alive’, and ‘PARAMNESIA’. At the time of writing, ‘WE WERE HERE’ is number 1 on Japan’s Apple Music and iTunes Metal Top Album charts, as well as the iTunes Rock Top Album chart.
Along with the album, DEXCORE unveiled the video for ‘Trace’, an emotionally and musically heavy, atmospheric track packed with hard riffs, blast beats, and of course, the heaviest of drops. The band shared the video on X with the caption “The best V-kei metalcore ever”.
Starting this Saturday, May 10th, the band will begin their WE WERE HERE tour, hitting 15 venues across Japan. Additionally, DEXCORE will be performing at the sold out MASKED visual kei festival on May 25th.
As well as this, the band will hold a collaboration with Music Bar ROCKAHOLIC-Shinjuku-. From May 20th-26th, 7pm-11pm, fans can enjoy DEXCORE music videos played in the bar and drinks produced by the band. For every collaboration drink purchased, fans will receive a special DEXCORE x Music Bar ROCKAHOLIC-Shinjuku- sticker or badge.
