Age Factory launch independent label 0A and announce sixth album

Age Factory have launched a new independent label, 0A, and announced the release of their sixth studio album. The band will release the album’s lead single ‘rest / 息’ digitally on June 4th, with a music video premiering on the band’s official YouTube channel at 9pm JST.

Formed in Nara in 2010, the three-piece—Shimizu Eisuke (vocals, guitar), Nishiguchi Naoto (bass), and Mashiko Nakato (drums, backing vocals)—have gradually moved toward full creative control. Revealed on May 26th 2025, 0A is the latest step in that shift. The label will oversee music production, artist management, artwork, and broader creative direction. It will also serve as a platform for other artists across disciplines, including photography, design, and styling.

In recent years, Age Factory have taken increasing control over their output—handling everything from songwriting and mixing to promotion and touring. That independence has become central to how the band works, with a focus on direct decision-making and avoiding external filters. 0A formalises that method, giving the band a consistent structure to work within and opening the door to future collaborations on their own terms.

The upcoming album will be the first release under the 0A imprint. No further details have been shared, but more information is expected to be released alongside the arrival of ‘rest / 息’ on June 4th.
