D=OUT frontman and enka soloist KOUKI will perform at Visual-kei Night in Paris on October 1st. This event marks KOUKI’s first time performing in France since 2009.
KOUKI, known for both his solo projects and as the vocalist of VK group D=OUT, made his solo debut in London last September as part of Visual-kei Night’s London matsuri event. The matsuri theme fit KOUKI’s use of traditional Japanese styling and music, and the Paris event follows suit, with the theme of ‘Japanesque’. The event will be held at Backstage By The Mill, a 350 capacity venue next to the famous Moulin Rouge.

The performance coincides with KOUKI modelling at Global Fashion Collective Paris, as part of Paris Fashion Week, for visual kei fashion designer SHINO, who has previously created outfits for Zeke Deux, MAMA., DEVILOOF, and more. SHINO will be presenting their work with KOUKI on October 2nd and 3rd.
Additionally, on August 1st, D=OUT released their latest single ‘愛-aikagi-鍵’ (written with the kanji for ‘love’ and ‘key’), along with fresh new visuals. The band also have a string of events in Japan lined up, including fan club shows through August, and special member-curated shows through September. The member-curated shows will feature different themes, like classic VK, pop stars, a men’s only show, and more.
In Paris, KOUKI is expected to deliver a set full of D=OUT hits alongside covers of visual kei classics. The performance will be followed by Visual-kei Night itself with DJ Kaoru Nagata, and guest DJ Takeshi from Esprit D’air.
General admission includes entry to both KOUKI’s live performance and Visual-kei Night. Fans can also purchase a VIP upgrade for €25 which includes early entry, 2-shot with KOUKI, and an autographed photocard. Tickets go on sale on Friday August 15th at 10am CEST via Eventbrite.
