YUMEKA NOWKANA? and MOG RYAN to leave ASP following UK tour

Two founding members of ASP, YUMEKA NOWKANA? and MOG RYAN, have announced their departure from the group, with their final appearance set for September 25th in London as part of ASP’s upcoming UK tour.

The news was made public on August 15th during the MC segment at the final show on ASP’s nationwide Acid Suspicious Parental Tour at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA. It comes amid promotion for their latest single ‘BA-BY’ and during preparations for their first overseas shows as an eight-member unit.

In statements shared on ASP’s official website, YUMEKA NOWKANA? wrote:

“As of ASP’s London performance on September 25, 2025 (Thu) for our ASP in the UK Tour, I, YUMEKA NOWKANA?, will be graduating from ASP.

I’m truly sorry for the sudden announcement.

It’s been 10 years since I jumped into this world, 6 years since joining WACK, and 4 years as a member of ASP. Throughout this time, I’ve faced this career with all my heart, supported by so many incredible people.

Whenever I felt like stopping, it was the members I love, who always give their all no matter what, who lifted me up. It was all of you who support ASP and YUMEKA NOWKANA?. It was my gratitude to WACK for giving me the name “YUMEKA NOWKANA?”. Because of all of this, I’ve been able to overcome so much, again and again.

But now, in facing my life and my heart, I’ve realised it’s become difficult to continue in this form. Leaving such a dearly beloved place was not an easy choice, but I decided this was the time to make it.

I will say this as many times as I need to: This group is my pride.

Meeting all of you is an irreplaceable treasure that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Thank you so much for finding me.

The name “YUMEKA NOWKANA?” was born from a dream of one day becoming “YUMEKA NATTA!” (Dream Came True!). But I think I’ll keep on exploring my life, asking myself, “Will my dreams come true?”

For the remaining month, I’ll do everything I can so that no one regrets letting YUMEKA NOWKANA? become a part of their life.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything so far. And please continue to support ASP!”

MOG RYAN added:

“Ever since I first encountered WACK eight years ago, I’ve loved this company more than anything. But over time, I began to feel, deep down, that I couldn’t keep up emotionally with the changes in WACK. I realized I might not be moving forward anymore, and continuing in ASP like that became something I couldn’t forgive myself for.

I wanted to do anything and everything with my beloved members, even if it killed me. I thought I could push myself, but sometimes my body just wouldn’t move, and so I decided to walk a life outside of WACK.

Being part of WACK, performing as ASP, through the best days and the worst days, above all, the time spent with our “Narazumono” (ROGUES) fans was something I cherished dearly. Your constant joy and sorrow alongside mine were the most precious thing to me, and the number one reason I could keep going despite feeling unstable.

You taught me that working hard for someone else can be so much fun and give so much meaning to life. Thank you truly. I’m sure that in the future, I’ll remember our “Narazumono” (ROGUES) and those memories will make me happy, lonely, and deeply thoughtful.

To all the staff who have been involved, to the members, and to everyone who has met ASP, thank you for finding me and giving me a place to belong.

For the remaining month, I’ll give my all to repay all the gratitude I feel for everything so far. I’ll do my best until the very end as ASP’s MOG RYAN.

ASP is a wonderful group unafraid of change. Each member fights their own battles and stands on stage with conviction. I truly hope you will continue to support the members and ASP in the future. Thank you so much.”

Footage from the announcement was later shared in a post-tour video uploaded to ASP’s official YouTube channel. The aftermovie includes both YUMEKA and MOG RYAN’s on-stage messages to fans, along with the crowd’s response to the news.

YUMEKA NOWKANA? joined WACK in 2019 as a member of CARRY LOOSE before their disbandment in 2020, later reappearing in ASP’s founding line-up in 2021. MOG RYAN joined through the WACK Joint Audition 2020 under the name Impossible Maika, later taking part in Project WACK-Chin as Bisuko before being selected to join ASP.

Their departure follows the return of NAMELESS, who resumed activities in early August after a period of hiatus.

ASP’s latest group visual, released on August 8th, features returning member NAMELESS and the full eight-member line-up, just a week before the departure announcement.

ASP will continue as a six-member group: NAMELESS, MATiLDER TWiNS, WONKER TWiNS, CCCCCC, RiON TOWN, and iKO MUGENNOKANATA, who joined in May following her tenure with third-generation BiS.
